HCPA Slates AI Webinar Series

Participants will leave with a framework for incorporating AI tools into compliance environments.

The Household and Commercial Products Association will host a four-part webinar series that will help participants use AI confidently – from foundational concepts to real-world application – on Tuesday, March 24 from 1 to 2 pm.

The session will provide a practical introduction to what AI is (and is not), how it differs from traditional software tools, and where it may — and may not — be appropriate for regulatory decision-making. Participants will leave with a clear framework for evaluating AI tools and determining whether they are fit for purpose in compliance environments.

Speakers will include Steve Bennett, executive vice president, Scientific & Regulatory Affairs, HCPA; and Robin Clower, senior consultant, Compliance Services International.

Real Applications for Regulatory Professionals

The HCPA will also host a webinar on AI-assisted regulatory work on April 7 from 1 to 2 pm.
Speakers will explore two practical approaches to AI-assisted regulatory work:

Purpose-built AI systems that function as validation agents, identifying inconsistencies and prompting key compliance questions at critical decision points; and

Applied use cases demonstrating how teams are managing multi-state and multi-jurisdictional requirements more efficiently without rebuilding compliance frameworks from scratch.

Speakers will include Dariana Lynsenko, cofounder and head of marketing, GetGenAi; and Charlie Vallely, cofounder & CEO, Smarter Sorting.

Protecting Your Data and Your Reputation

A webinar on using AI responsibility will be held on April 21 from 1 to 2 pm to address two core dimensions of responsible use: safeguarding proprietary and confidential information when using AI tools and establishing workflows where outputs are traceable, validated and defensible. Participants will gain practical guidance on managing data risk while maintaining regulatory integrity.

Speakers will include Andrew Clawson, principal consultant, Compliance Services International; and Pedro Teodoro, project manager, GetGenAi.

AI and the Law

On May 19 from 1 to 2 pm, the closing session will provide a talk from Matt Galvin, partner, Steptoe, who will discuss regulatory professionals with the legal context necessary to evaluate risk and develop internal policies that support responsible, compliant AI use as the regulatory landscape continues to evolve.

For those unable to attend, the webinar will be recorded and made available via email to registered participants.
